Why Scholarship Programme?
In swift response to a Need Assessment Survey (NAS) carried out by our team with the support of the rural community leaders. The massive failure of the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate Exam and the Joint Administration Matriculation Board (JAMB) Exam which are both prerequisites for entry into tertiary institutions was identified among public school students.
According to the survey, not less than 70% of the sampled secondary school students scored below 180/300 in the (2021/2022) JAMB Exam.
The majority of the students failed either Mathematics or English language (both essential subjects for WAEC) and other relevant subjects.
Hence, causing the students extra year and denying them the ability to get admission into the Universities or Polytechnics. The Need Assessment Survey discovered that the causes of the student’s poor performance in their examinations are poor educational background, lack of educational counseling and guidance, and lack of qualified teachers.

Our Achievement
The GP Foundation in a bid to improve students’ performance in their examinations, promote quality and equitable education, and breed promising scholars sponsored the Georgia Plastic Foundation Scholarship Program targeted at underprivileged students in Imo State. The pilot phase of the program commenced with the introduction of free tutorial classes managed by qualified teachers for indigent students who are preparing for their WAEC Certificate Exam and the (JAMB) Exam. Under the provisions of the scholarship program, students are taught all compulsory subjects and concealed in preparation for the exams.
The GP Foundation tutorial class graduated 85 students for class (2022‐2023), 70% of the students passed their JAMB and WAEC exams.
The (2023‐2024) tutorial class session is currently in process for indigent students to enroll at no cost..
